The number most people miss
For most clients the box does not cost anything on a net basis. Moving high-value property out of the home usually reduces the homeowner’s premium by more than the annual rental.Here is the arithmetic worked through →
Common questions
- Why is the monthly rate exactly one tenth of the annual?
- Because the annual rate already carries the discount. Ten monthly payments equal the annual price, so paying by the year saves you two months.
- Can I change box size mid-term?
- Yes. Upgrades are prorated against your annual rate.
- Is there a deposit or setup fee?
- Ask when you book a tour — terms depend on the box size and whether you are renting personally or through an entity.
- What about items that do not fit a box?
- Custom and oversized storage is quoted individually — paintings, statues, and palletized bullion are all handled.
- Is contents insurance included?
- No. It is available separately through the facility’s Lloyd’s of London programme, and it is quoted on a schedule of what you are storing.
