Questions and answers
- Is Florida Intervault a bank?
- No. It is a private, family-owned vault facility. It does not take deposits, lend, or offer banking services.
- Are my contents FDIC insured?
- No — and neither are the contents of a bank safe deposit box. That is a common misconception. Contents insurance is available separately through Lloyd’s of London.
- What does a box cost?
- From $795 a year for a 3×5×24 up to $12,500 for a 30×15×24. The monthly rate is the annual divided by ten.
- Can staff open my box?
- No. No staff member can open a client box unilaterally.
- What happens if I die?
- With a beneficiary on file or a trust rental, named parties get access without probate. Set it up when you rent.
- Can a company or trust rent the box?
- Yes. Rental through an LLC, trust, or corporate entity is standard here.
- What are the access hours?
- Mon–Fri 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM. Emergency after-hours access by appointment (additional fee).
- Do you collect and deliver?
- Yes. Low-profile armored transport covers all of Florida, in unmarked vehicles, under Lloyd’s coverage from pickup to vault.
- Can I inspect what I store?
- Yes, in a private viewing room, by appointment. A scale is available on request.
- What if my items do not fit a standard box?
- Custom and oversized storage is quoted individually — paintings, statues, and palletized bullion included.
- Can I tour before renting?
- Yes, and we recommend it. Tours are private and by appointment.
- Do you serve outside Broward County?
- Yes — Palm Beach and Miami-Dade regularly, and armored transport covers the whole state.
